Hi and thanks for taking the time to find out a little more about me. Ok so my name is Kirsty and I am now in my flirty 30's (and that is all you will know about my age for now !!) I live with my amazing Partner in Liverpool and I am the proudest mum of three gorgeous children aged between soon to be 11 and 6 months - Grace, Alexander and Jensen, these I can with hand on heart say are my best creations :) My family and friends are my greatest support and inspiration and I love them all x
I have always been a bit of a magpie and I can remember every time we visited my Nan, I was always found rooting in her jewellery box and dressing table, playing with all of her necklaces, doing my best as a 6 year old to imagine life in the 40's and 50's and I even think I paraded around in her shoes and lipstick.
I love the ocean and have been fortunate to live by the sea a number of times and would love to live on a massive lake or ultimately 'beside the seaside' and obviously my favourite colour is blue especially in shades of aqua and turquoise (images of a bright Mediterranean blue sea sparkling on a summers day come to mind now). I don't know why I love the ocean, maybe it comes from wanting to be a Marine Biologist or an Oceanographer, my love of Orca's and Dolphins, or the colours, or the mythical creatures that live under the rolling waves. There is nothing more relaxing than the sounds of the waves hitting the shore, added with some seagulls in the background not being too noisy. If you added a lighthouse my life would be complete ! Can you tell my star sign is Pisces !!!!
How did I come about to creating / crafting - not really sure on this one, this is a craft new to me and looking back I have always leaned towards this but never found my calling until now and sometimes I wish I could turn back the clock and start a little earlier but there must be a reason for this so I will stay happy knowing that it is not too late (it is never too late people !!) Jewellery and bags are a natural choice for a magpie and accessory freak like me, my baby items come from the love of my little ones and only wanting the best for them, so long may my creative streak live.
So yes, there are a couple of reasons for creating a blog, mainly to help promote my creativity and what comes from this whether it be in the form of a necklace, bracelet, baby blanket, hair accessory, bag and so on but also to see if I can revive my story writing skills that I have lost over time and seemed to be so good at when I was a little knee biter (some may say I am still that small haha to them) but if I can reconnect with this lost art then I will be (fingers, toes, ears, hair crossed) writing a series of short stories for children and if they work will then need to look for an illustrator to help my little people come to life. This is a secret little passion of mine that only my partner knew about and has always told me to follow, but I have not found that spark to help bring the life it needs, so I am hoping that if I can keep this blog upto date and keep your interest then this may well help me find that spark - can you help me find the spark ?
I would also love to be a photographer, I can't think of nothing better than capturing a moment that will truly last a lifetime or that moment that will brighten up the life of a family's tender moment together x
I 'normally' work full time but am coming to the end of my maternity leave and would love to be able to stay at home longer with my little zoo, you never know how life will pan out I suppose x
